Civilingenjör

The Swedish five-year-long programme resulting in a Civilingenjör degree is similar to a Master of Science degree. The following orientations is a suitable preparation for a nuclear career path

  • Teknisk fysik (Engineering physics),
  • Teknisk kemi (Engineering Chemistry),
  • Energi och miljö (Energy and environment),
  • Elektroteknik (Electrical engineering),
  • Maskinteknik (Mechanical engineering),
  • Miljö- och vattenteknik (Environmental and water engineering)
  • Energisystem (Energy systems)

In most cases the education is provided in Swedish at least during the first three years. After that the students can join in Master of Science programme. For example, combining 3 years of Elektroteknik at Uppsala University and a Master of Science  in Nuclear Energy Engineering at KTH would make you a an attractive employee and give you high quality education.

A description of available programmes is available on the homepages of Swedish universities that offer engineering education. You can start by looking into programmes at KTH , Uppsala University  and Chalmers.
